In an effort to maintain a mindset of constant and never ending improvement, Dr. Jenkins decided this was the year to compete in his first triathlon. Training started in April for a race date of Sunday, September 20th.  It took place at Owenego Beach in Branford, Connecticut.  Over 300 athletes registered and participated. The swim was ˝ mile, the bike was 14 miles and the run 4 miles.  The first finisher crossed the line after 1 hour and 11 minutes. Dr. Jenkins crossed the finish line 27 minutes later with a time of 1 hour 38 minutes.

When asked how he felt,Dr. Jenkins replied, “It’s amazing to set a goal and achieve it.  It feels great both physically and mentally to push your body to higher levels of function and achievement. That’s why Chiropractic plays such an important role in the lifestyles of my family and the patients in our practice…because we utilize it for its true purpose…to allow the body to function at its maximal potential.  ’m now looking forward to the next race and the next level of achievement.  hank you for all the support and wishes, I hope the pictures show how much I not only enjoyed the result but the journey as well.  sn’t that what life’s all about?”
